Thoughts of a Crohn’s Disease Warrior…

Notice to reader: this article is personal conjecture and theory based on a 15-year struggle with Crohn’s Disease.

I have Crohn’s Disease. I am in remission. The question I am asked most often is that if it is possible to put yourself into remission without the use of medication?

Speaking from experience, the answer is YES! Please read on — the intent of this article is not to simply bash medication. It has its place.

Achieving remission won’t be easy.

· The process may take years.

· You will have countless setbacks.

· It will be a lifelong journey even once remission is achieved.

· In fact, this may be the most difficult thing you have done in your lifetime.

But…..

IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT !!!

It is strange to me that people will trust medication before they will trust and put their faith in nature. Even after experiencing some success without the use of medication, it took a while for me to get the voice in the back of my mind to shut the hell up.

That voice used to say, “Perhaps someday soon they will develop a new medication that will work for me? Then I can go back to eating and
