5 Things Needed to Crush Your Quarantine Workout

The worldwide pandemic of 2020 has changed many things, including how we approach fitness. I’m no stranger to working out at home, but let’s face it, it’s tough to beat the convenience of your favorite gym. Just walk through the doors, and you have instant access to multitudes of equipment. Working out at home was never my first choice because I tended to lose interest, and occasionally felt like I was not challenging myself enough.

However, throughout the past year, we have encountered business closures (temporary and permanent), social distancing guidelines, and perhaps even some fear of the unknown. What options do you have if you aren’t ready to go back to the gym?

Some may be fortunate enough to own a set of Olympic weights at home, but that’s not the case for the majority of us. The situation is not hopeless, however. With a bit of creativity, you should be able to utilize things around the house to put together a seriously challenging work out.

Everyone’s quarantine environment is a bit different, but I will share some of my favorite items I have utilized in my workouts.

1. Rope Climb

Loop a rope around a solid tree limb or hang from a deck. Tie the two rope ends together in knots to give you plenty of gripping power as you climb. Space the knots apart…
